Recent adventures in my world of art.

I'm grateful to have been chosen as an artist of the FUSED Exhibit at Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens in Akron, Ohio.

Myself and three other metal sculptors have created large scale sculptures that have been installed throughout the extensive grounds and gardens of the Museum estate.

FUSED: GARDEN GALLERY OF ART & METAL

June 1st through October 1st

Inspired by the paintings of Gertrude Seiberling, Stan Hywet presents FUSED: Garden Gallery of Art & Metal, A garden installation of 15 one-of-a-kind metal sculptures, this outdoor exhibit complements Gertrude’s paintings on display in the Manor House and is part of this year’s theme, Lasting Impressions, a celebration of her art. Stan Hywet staff member and artist Joe Ott, and three local artists — Mike Ensminger, Megan Louise Shane, and Kim Thomas —are creating the unique metal sculptures. Each visiting artist is designing and building three sculptures for FUSED, two of which are inspired by the paintings of Gertrude Seiberling, and featuring a weatherized aluminum reproduction of one of her works in each installation. The third piece is informed by the artist’s personal vision and style. Stan Hywet staffer, Joe Ott will create additional pieces for the exhibit. The sculptures vary in size and will be located in garden beds throughout the estate. All of the sculptures in the exhibit are for sale.
